There are plenty of carmakers in business. You have Toyota, General Motors, Dodge, Ford, etc. If you are looking at a car designed by a US carmaker such as Ford, there are many designs of models you are going to want to check out. One such car model includes the new Ford Fiesta Hatchback.
The Fiesta Hatchback has many things going for it. What kinds of features does the Hatchback have going for it that will make it stand out against other carmakers?
For petrol users, you have four options on what kind of engine you choose to go with. You can have:
- 59 bhp 1.25 liter
- 81 bhp 1.25 liter
- 95 bhp 1.4 liter
- 118 bhp 1.5 liter
However, diesel units have just two options. They are:
- 67 bhp 1.4 liter
- 89 bhp 1.6 liter
These are available in the standard and ultra-efficient Econetic form.

When you start looking at the Fiesta Hatchback, you’ll see that one type is a standard setup that has a compliant suspension with speed sensitive steering. The second type is the Zetec S; it has a more consistent weighty steering. While either one does well, the standard car is perhaps the best of the two in terms of handling. For starters, the suspension works to keep you from feeling anything on the road such as craters or bumps.
If you want a car that’s got some refinement, you’ll love the new Ford Fiesta. The engines on the Fiesta are smooth and the only real noise you’ll get from the car is the wind that’s whooshing by when you are driving. You won’t even hear noise coming from the road or suspension; making you believe that you’re driving a bigger car.
Another huge benefit to the Fiesta is its monetary value in terms of petrol and insurance. This is certainly not a petrol-guzzler and insurance is rather inexpensive. In fact, the Econetic model has lower CO2 emissions than other cars including hybrid cars.
Ford designers have put a lot of effort into creating all parts of the Fiesta Hatchback. Yet, it’s not hard to think and feel that there were a few corners that were cut. The plastic on the inside of the car looks and feels cheap. Despite this negative feel, it’s reliability rating passes standards.
Airbags are a huge plus on cars and the Fiesta Hatchback utilizes that to its advantage. In fact, it has five airbags designed into the car including the area of the driver’s knee. However, there are options on the car that you must pay an additional amount for. These include curtain airbags and stability control. If you are worried about thieves stealing your car, the much visible VIN number and deadlocks make it hard for thieves to get away with it.

You’ll love to get behind the wheel of the Fiesta, as there is plenty of room for travel, back support and two-way steering adjustments that many people find a comfortable driving position. You’ll also like the dash mounted mobile phone. You do, however, have to scroll through the minor functions to get where you need to go.
There is an issue with rear knee space. It can be limiting. However, the majority of car passengers are fine with this inconvenience.
You can find five main trims of the Ford Fiesta Hatchback including the high economy Econetic and the Sporty Zetec S models. If you want to upgrade, you get added features to the car including electric windows and remote locking. When you look at all the Fiesta models, you’ll love the Zetec because it’s reasonably priced and has features you’re going to love.
